This is a step-by-step guide on installing the Chrome browser extension for Snapshot.


Note: Chrome browser extension only works on a desktop or laptop computer. The extension will not work on a tablet or mobile phone. 


  1. Open Google Chrome on your desktop or laptop computer.
  2. Select your Snapshot study URL from the invitation email or website to be redirected to the Snapshot install page.
  3. Click on INSTALL SNAPSHOT EXTENSION to be redirected to Chrome extension page on your laptop or computer.
  4. Select Add to Chrome. 
  5. Select Add extension.
  6. The extension will be added to your browser’s list of extensions and the Snapshot study terms will be displayed.
  7. Review the terms and select the checkbox to accept the Terms of Use and click CONTINUE. Note:This screen is skipped for some studies.  
  8. Data sync will be initiated.
  9. Once this step is done the browser extension will automatically be uninstalled.
