To verify the accuracy and completion of the Google Takeout file downloaded, please follow the below steps:

  1. Navigate to the folder where your takeout data file is downloaded, as a zip file, on your device. 
  2. To confirm you have the required files, please make sure you see the following structure within the zip file:
    1. Takeout > My Activity > Android > MyActivity.json
    2. Takeout > YouTube and YouTube Music > history > search-history.json
    3. Takeout > YouTube and YouTube Music > history > watch-history.json
  3. Below is an example of the Takeout file structure:



     
  4. If you have the above files in your Google Takeout file, simply upload the file to Via to complete the study. Please follow the instructions here. We will be verifying the files within 5-7 business days, and letting the panel know to award your points/reward as mentioned for the study. Please note that panels take between 1-3 weeks to process the reward to your account.
